Processing and manufacturing process of glass bottle

The main raw materials for making glass bottles are: quartz sand, soda ash, calcite, limestone. The production process of glass bottles is mainly divided into melting material, forming, edge burning, and quenching.

Melting material: Add the manufacturing materials into the furnace for high temperature melting. The temperature in the furnace depends on different products, generally around 1200-1600 degrees, and the fuel is heavy oil. electricity, etc.

There are two types of furnace pots: crucible and pool kiln. The crucible has only one port, and the feeding and discharging ports are in this port. The pool kiln may have separate feeding and discharging ports. This kind of furnace with only one port is often used at night. Feeding is carried out, and then airtight. The newly added material needs to be melted for 8 hours, so the feeding cannot be carried out at any time, and it is often added after the material has been used up. Therefore, generally a cylinder of material can be used for one day, about 600-900 liters.

Molding: The molding methods include blowing (machine blowing, manual blowing), pressing, and centrifugal rotation.

Blown products are made by air pressure, so it has a great relationship with the size of the air pressure. If the air pressure is too high, the bottom may be thin and the mouth is thick. But it is missing. General blowing products include bottles and cans.

Pressing: It is to press the inner mold into the outer mold to extrude the glass frit. The gap between the two molds affects the thickness of the product, and the inner mold is controlled by air pressure, so too much air pressure may reduce the gap between the two molds and make the bottom of the product thinner: if the air pressure is too small, the opposite is true. Generally, the straight cups are pressed, but if the product is taller and the edge is thinner, it is generally blown, and the thinnest of this product is in the middle, so the middle is easy to break.

Centrifugal rotation, the mold is installed on the motor, and the material is thrown away and formed by a certain speed of the mold. If the electric speed is too small, it may not be able to be thrown away, which will make the product incomplete. If the speed is too high, the material may be thrown out or all the material may be thrown to the upper part, so that the upper end is thick and the bottom is thin. Generally, this method is used for coiled objects.

Burning the edge: When the glass bottle is just out of the mold, the general mouth is not smooth, but it needs to be fired at a high temperature and use more firepower.
